How and Why to Buy a Barbecue Grill Cover?

A grill kept outside for long periods of time is susceptible to corrosion and wear and tear from weather elements. Barbecue Grill covers help protect your grill from sun, rain, snow and other damaging conditions. These covers are cold-crack resistant, with built in UV protectors, mildew inhibitors and have an anti-microbial treated coating.

Most of the covers are made from waterproof two ply fabric or marine grade vinyl. While any material may be good as long it is weather resistant, avoid felt lined grill covers. Though they might be cheap they often are destroyed by mice, squirrels, or other unknown critters.
The price range of a barbecue grill cover varies. Low end covers costing around $30 would last you around a year. On the other hand heavy duty covers cost upwards of $50 will last you around two years if maintained properly. Many times the price you pay for a cover also depends on brand of the company. For example Weber grill covers are much higher priced than its counterparts.

To buy a grill cover just make sure the size is adequate for your grill. Not too small, not too big. Many times people shop around for grill covers for a particular grill model only to find it has been discontinued or  not available at the local store. In this case try looking for these covers online. Still if you cannot find one; buy any cover which sits comfortably on the grill.
